Nov 13, 2006 - 4:06 PM Fordham (1-0) at No. 24 Tennessee (1-0) 8:00 pm EST

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl is known for sweating profusely. He can only hope his suit is as dry after Monday's game as it was Saturday.

Coming off a comfortable win in its season opener, No. 24 Tennessee takes on Fordham on Monday in the first round of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

The Volunteers coasted in the 2006-07 opener, posting an 83-52 triumph over Middle Tennessee State. JaJuan Smith scored 16 points and freshman Josh Tabb added 13 off the bench to lead five players in double figures.

Tennessee also got 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks from senior Dane Bradshaw.

Fordham recorded a 70-68 victory over Sacred Heart on Friday as Chris Bethel scored 15 points and Bryant Dunston and Brenton Butler contributed 14 points apiece. They will not be able to turn the ball over 25 times again, however, if they want to beat the Volunteers.
