LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) - After a stunning early season non-conference home loss, Kansas meets Towson for the first time ever Sunday.

The third-ranked Jayhawks failed to focus in Wednesday's meeting against Oral Roberts, ultimately suffering a 78-71 setback. Kansas lost the lead in the first half and played from behind the rest of the way.

Freshman Darrell Arthur scored 22 points, Brandon Rush added 14 and Julian Wright collected 12 rebounds and five blocks for the Jayhawks, who could not overcome 11 3-pointers by the Golden Eagles.

Gary Neal scored a career-high 41 points as Towson posted a 69-62 victory over Samford on Thursday. The 6-4 guard made 13-of-24 shots, including 7-of-12 from the arc, and all eight free throws while playing the entire game.

Tim Crossin added 10 points and six assists for the Tigers, who made 9-of-17 3-pointers.
