Nov 20, 2006 - 3:33 PM No. 8 Duke (3-0) vs. Air Force (4-0) 7:00 pm EST

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- After three dominant victories to open the season, Duke is closing in on another significant milestone.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski looks to guide the eighth-ranked Blue Devils to the 1,800th win in school history Monday when they meet unbeaten Air Force for the first time in the semifinals of the CBE Classic.

Duke can join Kentucky (1,927), North Carolina (1,883) and Kansas (1,873) in the 1,800-win club and can raise their overall record to 215-35 since January 1, 2000. Krzyzewski can also collect his 757th triumph, leaving him two behind Ed Diddle for 10th place in Division I history.

After rolling past Columbia and Georgia Southern in the opening rounds of the tournament, the Blue Devils maintained their momentum in Thursday's 75-48 triumph over UNC-Greensboro.

Brian Zoubek made 7-of-11 shots and scored 17 points, Gerald Henderson had 12 and David McClure came off the bench to add a career-high 11 with nine rebounds for Duke, which limited UNC-Greensboro to 24 percent shooting (6-of-24) in the first half.

Coming off last season's 24-7 mark, Air Force can open with five victories for the first time since 1998-1999 and the third time in school history.

Tim Anderson scored 24 points and Nick Welch added 18 for the Falcons, who limited Colorado to just 11 first-half points in Saturday's 84-46 victory.

Jacob Burtschi was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament's Stanford Region after scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds on Wednesday's 84-46 win over the Cardinal.
