Wisconsin hopes to post fourth straight easy victory

Nov 21, 2006 - 2:32 PM Delaware St (1-3) at No. 7 Wisconsin (3-0) 8:00 pm EST

MADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) - If its first three games are any indication, No. 7 Wisconsin should not have much of a problem with Delaware State when the teams hook up Tuesday in the South Padre Island Invitational.

The Badgers have won their first three games by an average of 31.3 points, with their most impressive win coming in Sunday's 92-39 demolition of Southern.

Alando Tucker scored 16 points and Brian Butch added 12 for Wisconsin, which shot a blistering 62 percent (33-of-53) and held a 32-21 rebounding advantage.

The Badgers have been outstanding on the defensive end this season. They held the Jaguars to less than 36 percent (15-of-42) shooting and forced 25 turnovers. In its first three games, Bo Ryan's team is allowing an average of only 53 points.

Delaware State has lost three straight games to Pittsburgh, North Carolina State and Missouri State. In their 77-54 defeat to the Bears on Sunday, the Hornets received 22 points from Jahsha Blunt, who is their leading scorer at 15.0 points per game.
