Gonzaga, UNC meet in semifinals of NIT Season Tip-Off

The 23rd-ranked Bulldogs face No. 2 North Carolina in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Wednesday.
Gonzaga has a 7-1 all-time record against ACC schools at the Garden. But the Bulldogs never have faced the Tar Heels.
Derek Raivio scored 21 points and Abdullahi Kuso collected 15 and 12 rebounds as Gonzaga routed Texas-San Antonio, 92-48, on Sunday. The Bulldogs shot 52 percent (31-of-60) from the floor and dominated the boards, 45-22.
North Carolina handed out a drubbing of its own Sunday, a 103-50 defeat of Gardner-Webb.
Brandan Wright netted 21 points, fellow freshman Wayne Ellington added 19 and Tyler Hansbrough 18 for the Tar Heels, who held the Runnin' Bulldogs to 28 percent (19-of-67) shooting in the contest.
