MAUI, Hawaii (Ticker) - Memphis and Kentucky meet for the rights to third place in the Maui Invitational tournament Wednesday.

The 11th-ranked Tigers were on their way to the title game Tuesday but failed to maintain a 16-point halftime lead against Georgia Tech, ultimately absorbing a 92-85 setback.

Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 26 points and Jeremy Hunt added 16 and six steals for Memphis, which was outscored, 62-39, in the second half.

The No. 22 Wildcats could not overcome their 17-point deficit, paving the way for a 73-68 shortcoming to UCLA on Tuesday. Joe Crawford netted 16 points and freshman Derrick Jasper added 12 and nine rebounds for Kentucky, which committed 17 turnovers.

This is the initial meeting between the Tigers and Wildcats. Memphis coach John Calipari is 1-4 all-time against Kentucky.
