NCAA Final Four sites locked in through 2030

It’s never too early to look ahead!

On Tuesday, the NCAA announced the sites for the Final Fours from 2027-30: Detroit (2027), Las Vegas (2028), Indianapolis (2029) and North Texas (Arlington, 2030).

While the other three sites are no stranger to hosting men’s college basketball’s biggest stage, 2028 will mark the first year that Las Vegas will hold such an event.

It seemed like only a matter of time until Vegas would get the right to hold a Final Four. The city was awarded a regional bid to hold this year’s Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games at T-Mobile Arena.

The 2028 Final Four, though, will be held at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

For Detroit, it’ll be the Motor City’s first Final Four since 2009, which also happened to be a good year for the Villanova Wildcats. Indianapolis has gotten a Final Four in every bid cycle. 2029 will mark Indy’s 10th time holding a Final Four.

AT&T Stadium rounds out the cycle with hosting duties in 2030. The stadium, which is the home of the Dallas Cowboys, will hold its first Final Four since 2014.

After 2030, Final Four sites are still to be determined. There’s speculation that Atlanta will get 2031, or some point in the next four-year cycle, since the city was supposed to host the Final Four in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic put an abrupt end to the college basketball season and a world-wide pause on sports.
