Arizona looks to maintain offensive firepower vs. UNLV

Nov 28, 2006 - 2:33 PM UNLV (4-1) at No. 16 Arizona (3-1) 10:30 pm EST

TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) - Since losing its season opener, Arizona has been on an offensive tear.

The 16th-ranked Wildcats look to keep the points coming in bunches and raise their home record to 4-0 this season in Tuesday's encounter with UNLV.

Arizona ranks among the nation's leaders in scoring (94.8) and has reached the century mark twice in the past three outings. The Wildcats have five players in double figures, led by Chase Budinger (20.5) and Ivan Radenovic (17.3).

Budinger, Marcus Williams and Mustafa Shakur scored 14 points apiece for Arizona, which had a 47-21 rebounding edge in Wednesday's 86-57 victory over Samford.

UNLV recorded its first loss against Cal-Santa Barbara on November 17 before bouncing back with consecutive victories over Washburn and San Francisco.

Michael Umeh scored 20 points, Wendell White added 19 and Wink Adams 10 for the Runnin' Rebels, who committed only 11 turnovers in Saturday's 96-88 over the Dons.

UNLV has a 9-4 lead in the all-time series with Arizona, but has dropped four of five matchups here. Its lone victory at McKale Center came on December 3, 1981.
