AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Eighth-ranked Texas looks to win its second straight game when it hosts Tulane on Tuesday.

Abrams shot 7-of-12 from the floor, including 5-of-9 from the arc to notch 21 points. Conor Atchley had 14 points and Damion James added 13 for the Longhorns, who are expected to contend in the Big 12 Conference this season.

Tulane, of Conference USA, was victorious in its season-opener, posting a 68-62 victory over McNeese State on Saturday.

Kevin Sims and Kris Richard each scored 17 points to lead the Green Wave, who went 17-15 last season.
