Pittsburgh eyes another November win

The sixth-ranked Panthers go for their third straight win when they host Akron on Friday.
Pittsburgh (2-0), which has started 10-0 in each of the past five seasons, has not lost in November since 1998. Panthers coach Jamie Dixon is 26-0 in the month since he was hired in 2003.
With a balanced attack, Pittsburgh cruised to an 82-53 victory over Miami, Ohio on Monday.
All five starters scored in double figures, led by Sam Young and freshman Jermaine Dixon's 14 points. Levance Fields had 12 and 12 assists.
Akron (2-0), which is coming off a 24-11 campaign and a berth in the NIT, has won each of its two games by double digits.
Darryl Roberts scored 17 points off the bench to lead the Zips to a 72-58 triumph over Winthrop on Tuesday. Roberts leads the team in scoring at 13.5 points per game.
