Singler, Duke eye sixth straight win

Nov 23, 2008 - 7:41 AM Montana (2-1) at No. 5 Duke (5-0), 1:00 p.m. EST

DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- After a successful trip to New York City, fifth-ranked Duke returns home to face Montana on Sunday.

The Blue Devils (5-0) won the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer at Madison Square Garden this past week, posting victories over Southern Illinois and Michigan.

Kyle Singler was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player and leads the Blue Devils with 17.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He had 15 and eight in Duke's 71-56 victory over Michigan in Friday's title game.

Duke has won its five games by an average of 23.4 points and Montana should not pose much of a threat to the Blue Devils' 62-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents.

The Grizzlies (2-1) come in winners of two straight, including Thursday's 82-65 victory over Mississippi Valley State.

Jordan Hasquet scored 23 points for Montana, which shot 54 percent (27-of-50) from the floor, including 9-of-18 from the arc.

It is the first meeting between the schools.
