South Alabama (2-1) at No. 3 Louisville (1-0) 4:00 pm EST

Nov 23, 2008 - 2:04 PM LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Louisville looks to make it a clean sweep over the weekend when it hosts South Alabama in the Billy Minardi Classic on Sunday.

The last ranked team to make its season debut, the Cardinals posted a 79-41 victory over Morehead State on Saturday.

Freshman Samardo Samuels scored 18 points in his collegiate debut and Earl Clark added 13 for Louisville (1-0), which outscored Morehead State, 50-21, in the the second half.

Jerry Smith chipped in 12 points for the Cardinals, who are coming off an appearance in the regional finals. Louisville is expected to contend for the Big East Conference championship with Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame.

Last season's Sun Belt Conference regular-season champions, South Alabama bounced back from its first loss with a 93-64 triumph over Florida A&M on Saturday.

Domonic Tilford scored 17 points to lead the Jaguars (2-1), who shot 54 percent (36-of-67).
