WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Wake Forest concludes its early season schedule against in-state foes on Monday when they welcome Winston-Salem State to Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

After cruising to a pair of victories to open the campaign, the 24th-ranked Demon Deacons host a school located within their own city borders.

Freshman Al-Farouq Aminu was the story in a season-opening 94-48 victory over North Carolina Central, registering 21 points and 10 rebounds in his collegiate debut.

Wake Forest used a smothering defense in the win, limiting NCC to just 16 field goals while forcing 21 turnovers.

The Demon Deacons were even more impressive offensively in their next outing, routing North Carolina-Wilmington, 120-88, behind a pair of sophomores. Jeff Teague scored 31 and James Johnson added 25 as Wake Forest shot 57 percent (47-83) from the field.

In its two losses to open the season, Winston-Salem averages 45.5 points while knocking down only 29 percent of its field goal attempts.

Jamal Durham has scored in double figures in both games for the Rams and averages seven rebounds a game.
