Nov 28, 2008 - 11:21 AM No. 4 Pittsburgh (5-0) vs. Texas Tech (5-0) 7:30 p.m. EST

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Fourth-ranked Pittsburgh takes on fellow unbeaten Texas Tech when they open the championship round of the Legends Classic on Friday.

Each team won its respective regional round to advance to the semifinals at the Prudential Center. Washington State and Mississippi State meet in the other semifinal.

The Panthers were led by DaJuan Blair in their victories over Akron and Indiana, Pennsylvania on back-to-back days, but were without their sophomore center in their last contest against Belmont.

Sam Young scored a career-high 33 points in his absence as Pittsburgh defeated last year's Atlantic Sun Conference champions, 74-60. Blair, who missed the contest with swelling in his right knee, is averaging 17.5 points and 13.3 rebounds.

After scoring a school-record 167 points in a win over East Central and beating Eastern Kentucky, 98-84, to advance, the Red Raiders overcame a one-point half time deficit to top Southeastern Louisiana, 74-63.

John Roberson had a season-high 20 points and Alan Voskuil added 18 as Texas Tech used a 14-4 run in the second half to stay perfect.
