UConn eyes another easy win

Nov 29, 2008 - 11:25 AM Bryant (1-2) at No. 2 Connecticut (5-0), 1:00 p.m. EST

HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Connecticut has not had much of a problem with its early season schedule. It shouldn't face any difficulty on Saturday, either.

The second-ranked Huskies take on Bryant University at the XL Center.

Connecticut has won its five games by an average of 21.8 points, which include a pair of wins against ranked teams.

The Huskies won the Paradise Jam tournament by defeating La Salle, No. 16 Miami and 19th-ranked Wisconsin, 76-57, on Monday.

Five UConn players average in double figures, led by Jerome Dyson's 18.2 points per game. Hasheem Thabeet and Jeff Adrien are each averaging double-doubles, while the 7-3 Thabeet is also blocking 4.4 shots per contest.

Bryant is coming off its first victory, a 59-50 triumph over Quinnipiac on November 22.

Cecil Gresham scored 21 points in the win and leads the Bulldogs at 19.3 points per game.
