Villanova eyes another easy win
Dec 4, 2008 - 11:21 AM Houston Baptist (0-6) at No. 16 Villanova (7-0), 7:30 p.m. ESTVILLANOVA, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Villanova has not faced much adversity. That should not change on Thursday.
The 16th-ranked Wildcats aim for their eighth straight win when they host Houston Baptist.
Villanova has won all seven of its games by at least 13 points and is averaging a 21-point margin of victory.
Dante Cunningham recorded his third double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Wildcats cruised past Pennsylvania, 69-47, on Tuesday. The senior is averaging 17.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.
The Wildcats could get caught looking ahead, however, as they play No. 8 Texas at Madison Square Garden on December 9.
Houston Baptist should not pose much of a threat as it has lost all six of its games by an average of 21.2 points.
Gordon Watt is averaging 19.2 points and 9.0 rebounds to lead the Huskies, who are coming off an 88-74 setback to Texas-Arlington on Saturday.
