Arizona State looks to hand Nebraska first loss

Dec 7, 2008 - 8:11 AM Nebraska (6-0) at No. 19 Arizona State (6-1), 2:00 p.m. EST

TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- If Nebraska hopes to remain unbeaten, it will have to find a way to slow down James Harden.

Harden leads 19th-ranked Arizona State against the Cornhuskers on Sunday.

The sophomore guard is averaging 26.3 points - third-best in the nation - as the Sun Devils are off to their best start since the 2004-05 campaign.

Harden scored 22 points in Arizona State's 81-60 triumph over Jackson State on Thursday. He is 14-of-18 on 3-pointers over the last three games.

The Cornhuskers boast a strong defensive unit that has yet to yield 60 points in a game. They are allowing 51.5 points per contest.

Steve Harley scored 16 points to lead Nebraska to an 80-51 victory over Alabama State on Wednesday. The senior is the only player averaging double figures in the Cornhuskers' balanced attack, scoring 12.8 per game.

Nebraska defeated Arizona State, 62-47, last season.
