After rout, Michigan State looks to rebound

Dec 7, 2008 - 8:12 AM Bradley (4-2) at No. 13 Michigan State (4-2) 4:00 p.m. EST

EAST LANSING, Michigan (Ticker) -- After a beatdown at the hands of the No. 1 team in the country, Michigan State returns to the Breslin Center for the first time since its season-opener in search of a bounce-back win.

The 13th-ranked Spartans were blasted by North Carolina at Ford Field and are back in East Lansing to face Bradley on Sunday.

Following a rugged stretch of four games in six days, Michigan State seemed to be running on fumes in Detroit as the Tar Heels cruised, 98-63. The Spartans followed up a loss to Maryland with wins over Oklahoma State and Wichita State, but were dominated from the opening tip in their latest contest.

Raymar Morgan scored 21 points and Chris Allen added 16 off the bench, but the rest of the team combined to shoot 9-of-38 from the field for 26 points.

The meeting with the Braves begins a stretch of three straight home games before a road test at Texas on December 20.

Bradley has won three straight contests, including an 82-69 conquest of East Tennessee State in its last game on November 29.

Dodie Dunson led the Braves with 17 points while Theron Wilson added 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Its the second matchup against a Top-25 team for Bradley. It lost to then-No. 18 Florida, 81--58, on November 16.
