Purdue looks to keep rolling vs. Indiana State

Dec 13, 2008 - 11:34 AM Indiana State (1-7) at No. 17 Purdue (7-2) 2:00 p.m. EST

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- After back-to-back losses, Purdue has feasted on a pair of inferior opponents and should continue to do so when it hosts Indiana State Saturday.

The 17th-ranked Boilermakers have won their last two contests by a combined 77 points and do not figure to have problems with the struggling Sycamores.

Purdue dropped games to Oklahoma and Duke before cruising past Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Ball State behind a balanced scoring attack that placed them among the preseason favorites in the Big Ten Conference.

Robbie Hummel scored 15 points in a 68-39 victory over the Cardinals as Purdue limited its opponent to just 17 first-half points.

E'Twaun Moore leads the Boilermakers with 15 points per game while Hummel, JaJuan Johnson and Nemanja Calasan also average in double-figures.

Four of Indiana State's seven losses have come by single digits, but it faded in the second half during a 62-50 loss to Ohio on Monday. Aaron Carter and Jay Tunnell scored 20 points apiece with the no other play scoring more than four points.

The lone win for the Sycamores came against Lamar on Sunday, 68-66.
