Dec 13, 2008 - 11:31 AM No. 8 Tennessee (6-1) at Temple (4-3), 12:00 p.m. EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Tyler Smith is hoping for another big game when he leads eighth-ranked Tennessee against Temple on Saturday.

The Volunteers have not played since an 87-69 victory over North Carolina-Asheville on December 3, a game in which Smith made school history.

The junior forward recorded the first triple-double in Tennessee history with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as the Volunteers bounced back from their first loss.

Smith is averaging 17.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists for the Volunteers, who are averaging 87.1 points.

Temple snapped a two-game losing streak with a 65-59 victory at Penn State on December 6.

Senior guard Dionte Christmas, who has averaged 19 points or more in each of the past two seasons, is scoring 19 per contest to lead the Owls. He had a season-low two points on 1-of-7 shooting in the win over Penn State.
