Syracuse hopes to continue perfect start

Dec 15, 2008 - 8:03 PM Cleveland St (6-4) at No. 11 Syracuse (9-0), 7:00 pm EST

SYRACUSE, New York (Ticker) -- Jonny Flynn and Paul Harris will try to bounce back from lackluster performances and lead No. 11 Syracuse to a 10-0 start when they face Cleveland State on Monday.

Flynn scored nine points and Harris added five Saturday, but the Orange still managed to pull out a 79-55 victory over Long Beach State.

It was the worst performance of the season for Flynn and Harris, who combined to shoot just 3-of-12 from the field.

A sophomore guard, Flynn is averaging 18.3 points and 5.0 assists this season and had not failed to reach double-digits before that game.

Harris hit season lows in points, field goals made and defensive rebounds. The junior forward has averaged 13.7 points and 8.6 boards this season.

The Vikings are wrapping up a three-game road trip. J'Nathan Bullock collected 11 points and eight rebounds as Cleveland State defeated Marist, 66-47, on Saturday.
