HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Fourth-ranked Oklahoma will try and match its best start in 19 years when it visits Rice on Monday.

The last time the Sooners started 12-0 was during the 1989-90 campaign, but this will be their first true road game of the season.

Tony Crocker scored a career-high 26 points in Oklahoma's 81-70 victory over Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday.

Blake Griffin added 18 points and seven rebounds, marking just the third time this season that he has failed to record a double-double. The sophomore is averaging 22.6 points and 14.4 rebounds.

Rice had its two-game winning streak snapped with an 80-64 setback at Duquesne on Saturday.

Cory Pflieger leads the Owls in scoring at 12.5 points per game.
