Villanova looks to continue strong defensive start
Dec 22, 2008 - 7:17 PM Navy (8-3) at No. 16 Villanova (10-1), 7:30 p.m. ESTVILLANOVA, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- No. 16 Villanova will go for its third straight win when it hosts Navy on Monday.
Defense has been a key component so far this season for the Wildcats, who have yet to allow 70 points in a game this season. Villanova has allowed less than 60 points in four of its last five games.
The Wildcats have not played since a 70-59 victory over La Salle on December 14.
Dante Cunningham, who leads the team in scoring at 16.7 points per game, was held to a season-low nine points in the win.
The Midshipmen have dropped two of their last three games, including a 68-63 setback to Canisius on Saturday.
Senior Kaleo Kina leads Navy in scoring at 20.8 points per game.
