Louisville returns home after loss
Dec 27, 2008 - 11:31 AM Alabama-Birmingham (8-3) at No. 19 Louisville (7-2), 4:00 p.m. ESTLOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Louisville is hoping Freedom Hall will help the Cardinals bounce back from their second loss.
The 19th-ranked Cardinals host Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday.
Louisville had its five-game winning streak snapped with a 70-64 setback to Minnesota in Glendale, Arizona on December 20.
Terrence Williams scored 17 points and Earl Clark had 16 to lead the Cardinals, who are 6-0 on their home court this season. Louisville hosts Nevada-Las Vegas and Kentucky next week before opening Big East Conference play.
The Blazers come in on a three-game winning streak and could provide an interesting test for the Cardinals.
Paul Delaney III scored 16 points as UAB crushed Florida Atlantic, 76-43, on Monday.
Robert Vaden is averaging 19.4 points to lead the Blazers, who have a victory at Arizona to their credit.
