Purdue eyes sixth straight win

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Purdue looks to continue its winning ways on Sunday when it hosts Valparaiso.

The 15th-ranked Boilermakers have won five straight, all by double digits, and are playing their last non-conference contest before the Big Ten opener against Illinois on Tuesday.

After an 18-point victory over then-No. 21 Davidson, Purdue posted a 70-55 victory over Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne last Monday.

Robbie Hummel is averaging 14.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to lead Purdue, which is holding opponents to 56.9 points per contest.

Valparaiso comes in losers of four straight and eight of nine. The Crusaders were crushed at Central Florida, 85-60, on Monday.

Urule Igbavboa leads Valparaiso in scoring at 10.4 points per contest.
