Harden, Arizona State end non-conference slate

Dec 29, 2008 - 5:57 PM Central Connecticut State (5-5) at No. 14 Arizona State (10-1), 9:00 p.m. EST

TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- In its last contest before Pac-10 Conference play, No. 14 Arizona State hosts Central Connecticut State on Monday.

The Sun Devils have won six straight games - all in the state of Arizona - including last Tuesday's 90-55 triumph over Idaho State. Arizona State made a school-record 17 3-pointers in the win.

James Harden is averaging 23.7 points to lead the Sun Devils, who open conference play on Friday at Stanford.

Central Connecticut, which is 1-4 on the road this season, should not pose much of a threat as it will travel across the country for the first time this season.

The Blue Devils snapped a two-game losing streak with a 67-56 victory over Princeton on December 20.

Ken Horton is averaging 20.6 points and 6.9 rebounds to lead CCSU.
