Unbeaten Clemson takes on in-state rival

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Off to a familiar fast start, No. 20 Clemson will look to keep rolling against intrastate foe South Carolina on Tuesday.

The Tigers have opened 10-0 or better each of the past four seasons and are coming off a road win at Miami, 91-72, on December 21.

K.C. Rivers scored 28 points in the win and the senior leads the club at 14.7 per contest. Trevor Booker is averaging 14.5 points and 9.6 rebounds.

South Carolina is 8-0 at home this season and enters the game on a five-game winning streak. The Gamecocks defeated Presbyterian, 75-56, on December 23.

The Gamecocks are led by their backcourt as Devan Downey is scoring 19 points per game and Zam Fredrick is averaging 15.1 per contest.

It will be the 159th all-time meeting between the two schools. Clemson has won each of the last four seasons.
