Oklahoma hopes to continue fast start

Dec 30, 2008 - 2:20 PM No. 4 Oklahoma (12-0) at Arkansas (9-1), 8:00 p.m. EST

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) -- While Blake Griffin continues to post monster numbers, Oklahoma is starting to get more contributions from its supporting cast.

The fourth-ranked Sooners look to continue rolling when they visit Arkansas on Tuesday.

One game after Tony Crocker scored a career-high 26 points, freshman Willie Warren scored a season-high 31 in a 70-58 victory at Rice on December 22.

Griffin had 27 points and 11 rebounds in the win and is averaging 23 and 14.1 to lead Oklahoma this season.

Arkansas comes in on a seven-game winning streak, but none have come against ranked teams.

In their last contest, the Razorbacks defeated Northwestern State, 95-56, on Saturday for their most lopsided victory of the season.

Freshman Courtney Fortson is averaging 15.9 points and 6.8 assists to lead Arkansas.

Oklahoma is off to its best start since the 1989-90 campaign. The Sooners have not won their first 13 games since they began the 1987-88 season 14-0.
