Ohio State aims to rebound from ugly loss

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Ohio State will try and bounce back from its first loss of the season when it opens Big Ten Conference play with Iowa on Wednesday.

After opening the campaign with nine straight wins, the 23rd-ranked Buckeyes were trounced at home, 76-48, by West Virginia on Saturday.

Leading scorer Evan Turner had 10 points and 11 rebounds, but the sophomore was just 4-of-17 from the floor. He is averaging 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Iowa, which is 1-2 on the road this season, is coming off a 58-43 victory over Western Illinois on Saturday.

Freshmen Anthony Tucker and Matt Gatens lead the Hawkeyes in scoring at 13 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.

The Hawkeyes, which split the season series with Ohio State last season, have not won here since February 18, 2004.
