Clemson looks to remain unbeaten against East Carolina

CLEMSON, South Carolina (Ticker) -- For the second time in three seasons, Clemson remains among the ranks of the unbeaten as the calendar turns.

The 16th-ranked Tigers look for their 14th win in a row when they host East Carolina on Saturday.

Clemson was the last team to lose a game in the 2006-07 campaign, opening the season 17-0. It is one of six unbeaten schools left this season after capturing a 98-87 win over South Carolina on Tuesday.

Terrence Oglesby sank six 3-pointers en route to a season-high 25 points while K.C. Rivers added 20. Trevor Booker had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

After opening the season 8-1, East Carolina has lost three straight games. It dropped consecutive games to ACC foes North Carolina State and Wake Forest before losing 63-55 to Coastal Carolina.

Brock Young was the lone Pirates player in doubles figures Sunday, collecting 16 points and eight rebounds.

Leading scorer Sam Hinnant, who is averaging 16.1 points per game, tied a season-low with just nine points on 3-of-15 shooting.

He is 5-of-27 in his last two games, including 4-of-20 from 3-point range.
