UCLA eyes eighth straight win

EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Three-time defending Pac-10 Conference champion UCLA got off on the right foot on Friday.

The ninth-ranked Bruins will look to keep rolling when they visit Oregon on Sunday.

UCLA (11-2, 1-0 Pac-10) jumped out to an early lead and crushed Oregon State, 69-46, in its conference opener - its seventh straight win overall.

Darren Collison and Michael Roll each scored 16 points in the win as UCLA forced 20 turnovers. Collison leads the team in scoring at 14.5 per game.

Oregon (6-7, 0-1) is going through a rebuilding year and was trounced at home in its conference opener, 83-62, against Southern California.

Tajuan Porter is averaging 14.2 points to lead the Ducks, who are 4-5 at home this season. Oregon lost three games at McArthur Court all of last season.

UCLA swept the two-game series last season.
