Duke looks to keep rolling vs. Georgia Tech

Jan 14, 2009 - 11:31 AM No. 2 Duke (14-1) at Georgia Tech (9-6) 7:00 p.m. EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Since suffering its only loss of the season to Michigan on December 2, second-ranked Duke has turned up the defense.

The Blue Devils look to continue the stellar play on that side of the court when they host Atlantic Coast Conference foe Georgia Tech on Wednesday.

Michigan posted a season-high 81 points on Duke in an eight-point win, avenging a 15-point defeat at the hands of the Blue Devils at the 2K Sports Classic on November 21. Since then, Duke (14-1, 2-0 ACC) has allowed 56.7 points per game during its current six-game winning streak.

The Blue Devils defeated Florida State on Saturday, 66-58, behind a season-high 25 points from Gerald Henderson. The Duke bench scored just three points and outside of Henderson, the team combined to shoot 9-of-28 from the field.

Following its matchup with the Yellow Jackets, Duke hosts Georgetown, which is currently ranked 12th.

Georgia Tech (9-6, 0-2) has lost four of six since a 7-2 start, including a 68-61 setback at Maryland on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets committed 28 turnovers while blowing a 10-point second-half lead.

Lewis Clinch led the way with 15 points while Alade Aminu and Gani Lawal each added double-doubles. Aminu collected 14 points and 17 rebounds and Lawal 14 and 10.
