Connecticut aims to keep rolling on the road

Jan 15, 2009 - 11:40 AM No. 4 Connecticut (14-1) at St. John's (10-5), 7:00 p.m. EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- St. John's has already surprised one ranked Big East Conference team at home this season. The way the Connecticut has played away from home, the chance of a second upset happening is slim.

The fourth-ranked Huskies eye their third straight conference road win when they visit the Red Storm on Thursday.

After dropping its conference opener to Georgetown, Connecticut (14-1, 3-1 Big East) has bounced back with three straight wins - including the last two at West Virginia and at Cincinnati, respectively.

Saturday's 81-72 triumph at Cincinnati improved Connecticut's record to 7-0 in games away from its home arena. Four of those wins have come at neutral sites.

Jeff Adrien is averaging 14.5 points and 9.1 rebounds and Jerome Dyson is scoring 14.1 per game to lead the Huskies.

St. John's (10-5, 1-2) is coming off a 90-67 setback at top-ranked Pittsburgh, but did upset No. 13 Notre Dame, 71-65, on January 3.

D.J. Kennedy is averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game to lead the Red Storm.
