Purdue eyes fourth straight win

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- After a slow start, Purdue appears to have gotten in gear. It will get a big test in the Big Ten on Thursday.

The 18th-ranked Boilermakers go for their fourth straight win when they visit No. 20 Minnesota.

Purdue (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten) has won its last three games to move up into the upper half of the Big Ten standings - where Minnesota (16-2, 4-2) is surprisingly residing. Michigan State leads the conference with a 5-1 record.

E'Twaun Moore scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack as Purdue posted a 75-53 victory over Iowa on Sunday. Moore leads the team in scoring at 13.9 per contest.

After a thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory over Wisconsin, Minnesota had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 74-65 setback at Northwestern on Sunday.

Lawrence Westbrook scored 18 points in the loss and is the only Golden Gophers player averaging in double figures at 14.1 per game.

Purdue won the lone meeting last season, 65-53.
