Jan 22, 2009 - 11:20 AM West Virginia (13-4) at No. 14 Georgetown (12-4), 7:00 pm EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- With its toughest stretch of the season over, 14th-ranked Georgetown will hope to get back to its winning ways against West Virginia on Thursday.

The Hoyas capped a three-week stretch of playing five top-15 teams in six games with a 76-67 loss to No. 2 Duke on Saturday. Georgetown managed to post a 3-3 record over that span after a 9-1 start.

In the loss to the Blue Devils, the Hoyas' DaJuan Summers scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made four steals. The junior forward is averaging 15.5 points, reaching double figures in each contest.

Freshman center Greg Monroe continues to contribute on both ends of the floor, collecting 13.2 points, 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

The Mountaineers are seeking their third consecutive win. Da'Sean Butler scored 27 points Saturday to lead West Virginia to a 62-59 win over South Florida.

West Virginia, which has won seven of its last nine contests, has lost three straight to Georgetown - including a 72-55 loss in the Big East Conference tournament semifinals last season.
