Illinois visits struggling Wisconsin

MADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Illinois hopes to continue Wisconsin's struggles when it visits the Kohl Center in a Big Ten Conference matchup on Thursday.

The 21st-ranked Fighting Illini (18-4, 6-3 Big Ten) have dropped three straight road games but are taking on a Badgers team that has lost six straight overall.

Demetri McCamey is averaging 12 points per game to lead Illinois, which posted a 62-54 victory over Iowa on Sunday. The win came after Illinois only managed 36 points at Minnesota on January 29.

Wisconsin (12-9, 3-6) has been close during its skid but has failed to pull out a win each time. The Badgers have lost the last five contests by average of 3.8 points, which includes two overtime defeats.

Trevon Hughes scored 15 points as the Badgers fell at Northwestern, 66-63, on Saturday. Craig Moore went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 15 seconds to seal the win for the Wildcats.

Marcus Landry is averaging 12.8 points to lead Wisconsin, which lost the first meeting, 64-57, on January 24.
