BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) - Texas A&M has had nine months to reflect on its loss to Louisiana State at last spring's NCAA Tournament.

The sixth-ranked Aggies try to gain some revenge for that defeat and win their 15th consecutive regular-season contest when they meet the 11th-ranked Tigers on Tuesday.

Texas A&M's first tournament appearance since 1987 came to a sudden finish when Darrel Mitchell hit a 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds left to give LSU a 58-57 victory over the Aggies at the Atlanta Regional on March 18.

The Aggies have yielded an average of 48.9 points while limiting its opponents to 30.7 percent shooting from the floor to rank among the nation's leaders. The Aggies also shoot nearly 54 percent and average 22.1 assists.

Joseph Jones scored 24 points, Antanas Kavaliauskas added a career-high 23 and Dominique Kirk 13 for Texas A&M in Saturday's 74-62 victory over Pacific.

LSU has bounced back from its only loss against Wichita State on November 25 with consecutive victories over McNeese State and Tulane.

Glen Davis scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Garrett Temple added 18 for the Tigers, who scored 16 consecutive points in the second half of Saturday's 74-67 win over the Green Wave.

LSU has a 13-9 lead in the all-time series against Texas A&M.
