SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) - Ronald Steele and Alabama have taken off since the star returned from injury.

Jermareo Davidson scored 13 of his 22 points in a decisive first half as Alabama remained unbeaten with a 78-60 victory over Tennessee State. Mykal Riley scored 14 points for the Crimson Tide, which shot 55 percent (28-of-51) from the field, including 9-of-15 on 3-pointers.

Kyle McAlarney scored eight of his 16 points in a decisive second-half run as the Fighting Irish claimed an 81-74 victory over No. 19 Maryland in the BB&T Classic on Sunday. Rob Kurz scored 16 points and Russell Carter 13 in the win.

Notre Dame has won two of its three meetings against Alabama.
