LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Looking to defend its Pac-10 title, No. 14 UCLA faces Washington State as the conference tournament continues on Thursday.

The Bruins (24-7, 13-5 Pac-10) won the tournament title last year as the No. 1 seed, defeating No. 8 California 88-66 in the quarterfinals, fourth-seeded Southern California, 57-54, in the semifinals and No. 2 Stanford, 67-64, in the finals.

UCLA, which has won four in a row, is coming off a 94-68 victory over Oregon on Saturday.

Washington State was propelled by Aron Baynes, who scored 14 of his 20 points in the first half, to a 62-40 win over Oregon on Wednesday in a first-round game.

The win was the fourth in the last five games for the Cougars (17-14, 8-10). Washington State split its two games with UCLA this season.
