Oklahoma State meets Ball State in San Diego SLAM

SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Oklahoma State goes from the Jimmy V Classic to the San Diego SLAM to do battle with Ball State on Saturday.

On Tuesday, the 24th-ranked Cowboys posted a 72-68 victory over Syracuse at Madison Square Garden. Mario Boggan scored 21 points and JamesOn Curry added 20.

Freshman Obi Muonelo had 11 points for Oklahoma State, which shot 52 percent (28-of-54) and survived 23 turnovers.

Ball State endured a 65-41 loss to No. 14 Butler on Wednesday. Anthony Newell scored 11 points and was the only player to reach double figures for Ball State, which was limited to 30 percent (14-of-47) shooting.

The Cowboys came away with an 82-70 win in their lone meeting with the Cardinals in 2001.
