Pittsburgh, Buffalo renew battle after 30 years

BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- Unbeaten Pittsburgh visits Buffalo in a non-conference matchup Saturday.

The Panthers and Bulls are meeting for the first time since January 1976. Pittsburgh has won the last four encounters and also a 4-1 all-time series' edge.

The No. 2 ranked Panthers extended their non-conference winning streak to 20 games after a 73-56 victory over Duquesne on Wednesday. Aaron Gray scored 15 points and swiped 12 rebounds and Mike Cook added 11 points and six assists.

With a win, Pittsburgh will record its fourth consecutive 10-0 start to a season. The Panthers also put their five-game road winning streak on the line Saturday.

Buffalo had its three-game run ended with an 80-63 setback to Tulane on Wednesday. Yassin Idbihi scored 19 points and Andy Robinson added 18 for the Bulls, which shot just 30 percent (18-of-60).
