While the Pittsburgh Panthers just concluded the end of an impressive season the work is never done. The Panthers are still on the recruiting trail for the 2024 class that so far includes three-star guard Brandin Cummings. Today, Pitt got some good news from a prospect right in their backyard. Four-star power forward Royce Parham out of North Hills High School in Pittsburgh has the Panthers in his final four according to Joe Tipton of On3.

“Being a local schools, its always been important to me,” Parham told On3 about the Panthers. “I’ve been up to some of their games and have a good bond with the coaches.”

Parham is currently 6’9 and 200 pounds and comes from a basketball background from his mom, Kim Parham, who holds the Penn State women’s basketball block record with 268. Parham would be a natural fit under what Capel is looking to run as a big who can stretch the floor and play with high energy on both ends.

Xavier, Marquette, and Penn State are the other finalists for Parham. Of all the schools Parham has taken official visits to Penn State and Marquette while taking unofficial visits to Xavier and Pitt. Parham relayed that there is no current timeline for commitment so the Panthers still have time to continue to make a push to try to keep their local prospect home.
