No. 13 Texas A&M tries to snap two-game slide vs. Fordham

Dec 12, 2006 - 3:21 PM Fordham (5-3) at No. 13 Texas A&M (7-2) 9:00 pm EST

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Texas A&M showed an inability to score during a two-game slide against quality opponents.

The 13th-ranked Aggies attempt to reverse their recent misfortune and maintain their run of success at home Tuesday when they host Fordham in the opener of a three-game homestand.

After opening by scoring at least 69 points in each of its seven victories, Texas A&M was limited to a season-low 52 points against Louisiana State in a rematch of last season's NCAA Tournament encounter.

Despite shooting 49 percent (25-of-51) from the floor, the Aggies suffered a 65-62 loss to last season's NCAA runner-up UCLA at the John Wooden Classic. Acie Law scored 21 points, Dominique Kirk added 12 and Joseph Jones 11 with 13 rebounds.

Texas A&M, which is 40-5 at home under coach Billy Gillispie, has won 29 straight home contests against non-conference foes and 12 straight overall at Reed Arena.

After winning three straight contests, Fordham lost by 20 points to Maryland on Wednesday before rebounding with Saturday's 77-60 victory against Pennsylvania.

Bryant Dunston scored 21 points, Marcus Stout had 17 and Sebastian Green 14 for the Rams, who will be facing Texas A&M for the first time.
