Texas A&M looks to continue home success vs. Jacksonville

Dec 16, 2006 - 6:11 PM Jacksonville (4-5) at No. 13 Texas A&M (8-2) 9:00 pm EST

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) - After losing to two Final Four teams, Texas A&M bounced back against a lesser opponent. They now will look to continue their home success.

The 13th-ranked Aggies are a perfect 8-0 at home this season and will host Jacksonville in College Station on Saturday.

After opening the season with seven straight home wins, Texas A&M was handed back-to-back road losses at LSU and UCLA, both Final Four squads from a year ago.

On Tuesday, they got back on track as Josh Carter scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half to help the Aggies pull away late for an 84-61 victory over Fordham.

While Texas A&M owns a 13-game home winning streak, the Dolphins have lost 21 consecutive games on the road. Their last win away from home came against Georgia State on February 25, 2005.

They picked up a home win on Sunday. Marcus Allen had 22 points and 13 rebounds as Jacksonville snapped a three-game losing streak with a 85-72 win over Coastal Carolina.

The Dolphins will be playing their second ranked opponent of the season. They were routed by then-No. 1 Florida 90-61 on November 16.
