Baylor advances to Big 12 final in win over Oklahoma State

Mar 9, 2014 - 11:58 PM Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Nina Davis scored 18 points with 12 rebounds to help No. 9 Baylor take a 65-61 win over 18th-ranked Oklahoma State in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament on Sunday.

Odyssey Sims scored 17 points with six rebounds and five assists, while Makenzie Robertson added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Bears (28-4), who will shoot for their fourth consecutive conference title in the final on Monday against No. 7 West Virginia, which beat Texas in the other semifinal.

Baylor will play the winner of the Texas/West Virginia semifinal which will be played later on Sunday.

Brittney Martin had 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Kendra Suttles gave 11 points and five boards for the Cowgirls (23-8), who were undone due to 35.5 percent shooting.

Baylor only trailed once in this game on an early basket from Oklahoma State, and built a 31-22 lead at the break.

The Cowgirls cut their deficit to two with eight minutes to play when Suttles put in a layup to make it a 52-50 game, but Robertson countered with a 3- pointer.

A basket from Suttles inside the final minute made it a 65-61 game, but Oklahoma State was unable to get any more in.
