Williams has 30 and No. 24 USF women beat Penn State 101-79

Dec 7, 2015 - 12:08 AM TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Courtney Williams scored 30 points and Alisia Jenkins had 21 points and 14 rebounds in No. 24 South Florida's 101-79 victory over Penn State on Sunday.

Williams, who came in as the nation's second-leading scorer at 26.3 points per game, made 11 of 19 shots, including all three 3-point attempts. Jenkins was 9 of 11 and collected her fourth double-double this season and 45th of her career. Kitija Laksa added 18 points.

USF (5-2) shot 55 percent, including 8 of 18 from the arc. They made 27 of 32 free throws and outrebounded the Lady Lions 41-23.

The Bulls last scored 100 points on Dec. 29, 2012 against Florida A&M.

Kaliya Mitchell was 7 of 10 for 19 points. Lindsey Spann added 17 and Teniya Page 15 for Penn State (3-5).

USF was up 14 entering the fourth quarter and led by double figures the rest of the way.
