No. 14 UCLA women pull away from Washington State 73-61

Feb 13, 2016 - 5:31 AM LOS ANGELES (AP) Monique Billings scored half of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and No. 14 UCLA pulled away from Washington State for a 73-61 victory on Friday night.

Kari Korver and Lajahna Drummer had 12 points apiece and Jordin Canada had 11 points and nine assists for the Bruins (18-6, 10-3 Pac-12). Nirra Fields had seven points, seven rebounds and five steals and Billings had nine rebounds and three blocks.

Borislava Hristova had 16 points for the Cougars (12-12, 3-10), who have lost seven straight.

Billings' 3-point play and a Drummer bucket at the buzzer gave UCLA a 56-51 lead after three quarters. Taylor Edmondson quickly cut it to two 30 seconds into the fourth quarter. But UCLA took control when Fields' 3 sparked a 13-0 run in a span of less than two minutes.

The Cougars missed their last five shots and made just 1 for 10 from the field and while committing seven turnovers in the fourth quarter.
