Walker leads No. 16 Texas A&M women past Little Rock 69-39

Dec 22, 2015 - 8:04 PM COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Courtney Walker hit 10 of 11 shots from the field and 9 of 10 free throws for a career-high 29 points to lead No. 16 Texas A&M to a 69-39 win over Arkansas Little Rock on Tuesday.

No other player reached double figures for the Aggies (9-3) but 11 of 12 players scored. Walker, fifth in A&M scoring history with 1,604 points, now has 23 20-point games.

Texas A&M shot 53 percent from the field and made 13 of 19 free throws.

Little Rock (2-7), which upset A&M in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last spring, shot 28 percent, didn't attempt a free throw and was outrebounded 41-31.

Alexius Dawn led the Trojans with 19 points.

Little Rock started 3 of 17 from the field but only trailed 30-22 at the half. In the third quarter, the Aggies had a 27-8 advantage, hitting 10 of 13 shots.
