Bowling Green rallies to defeat Toledo
Feb 5, 2007 - 2:34 AM BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Ticker) -- Ali Mann helped keep Bowling Green's perfect league record intact.Mann scored 10 of her 18 points in the final five minutes as the Falcons rallied for a 73-62 Mid-American Conference victory over Toledo.
Bowling Green (20-2, 9-0 MAC) won its 13th consecutive game and extended its home winning streak to 27 contests. But it did not come easy.
The Rockets took a 58-56 lead on a 3-pointer by Savannah Werner with 6:44 to play. After the Falcons tied it on a basket by Amber Flynn, Mann scored her team's next 10 points to make it 68-61 with 1:57 to play.
Liz Honegger scored 20 points and Kate Achter 15 for Bowling Green, which finished 20-of-26 at the free-throw line.
Danielle Bishop scored 19 points for Toledo (7-14, 3-6), which took a 38-35 halftime lead behind 59 percent shooting (17-of-29).
