Berglin, Soulis lead Wisconsin-Green Bay to Horizon League final

Mar 10, 2007 - 6:35 AM GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Natalie Berglin scored 21 points and Nicole Soulis added 19 to lead No. 22 Wisconsin-Green Bay to an 84-79 overtime victory over Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an appearance in the Horizon League tournament final.

Berglin and Soulis combined to score 11 of Wisconsin-Green Bay's 18 points in the extra session. The Phoenix (27-3) never trailed in the extra session and converted all six of their free throws over the final 1:46.

Kayla Groh scored 14 points for Wisconsin-Green Bay, which shot 44 percent (31-of-70) and dominated in points in the paint, 42-24.

The Phoenix led 30-23 at intermission but the Panthers (15-16) charged back, opening the second half on a 10-2 run to take a 33-32 lead with 16:18 to play.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee held a 66-64 advantage on Traci Edwards' two free throws with 55 seconds remaining before Berglin hit a layup 16 ticks later to force overtime.

Edwards scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Panthers, who shot 41 percent (28-of-69), including 10-of-30 from the arc.
